Getting started
Do I need a referral to see a physiotherapist?
No. In New Zealand you can book directly with a physiotherapist for most injuries — no GP referral needed, including for ACC claims. If you do have a referral from a GP or specialist, bring it along.
How do I book an appointment?
You can book online any time using the Book Now button, or send us a message through the contact page and we'll help you find a time that works.
Where are your clinics?
Our main clinic is at 7/45 Dale Crescent, Pakuranga, East Auckland, close to Howick, Highland Park and Botany (Tuesday to Thursday and weekends, 7am to 6pm). On Mondays and Fridays, 9am to 6pm, we're at Waitakere Health Hub, 199B Lincoln Road, Henderson, West Auckland. You choose your clinic when you book online. See our Contact page for directions.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing you can move in. Depending on the area being assessed, loose shorts or a singlet can make it easier for us to examine and treat the region.
ACC & costs
Are you an ACC provider?
Yes. We're an ACC-registered provider and can lodge and manage your ACC claim for an accident or injury, so you don't need to see a GP first.
How much does physiotherapy cost?
For accepted ACC claims, ACC covers part of the cost and we charge a small surcharge; private consultations are charged at our standard rates. See our Fees page for the current prices for each service. We'll always be upfront about costs before treating you.
Can I use ACC for an old injury?
Often yes, if it was caused by an accident. Bring any details of how and when it happened and we can advise whether a claim is appropriate.
Treatment & recovery
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on your problem, how long you've had it, and your goals. Many people improve within a few sessions; longer-standing issues can take longer. We'll give you an honest estimate after your first assessment.
Does physiotherapy hurt?
Treatment shouldn't be unnecessarily painful. Some techniques or exercises can feel tender, especially early on, but we work within your comfort and adjust to how you respond.
Will I get exercises to do at home?
Usually yes. A tailored home exercise programme is often a key part of recovery, and we'll make sure you understand exactly what to do and why.
What conditions do you treat?
We treat a wide range of musculoskeletal problems — back and neck pain, sports injuries, shoulder, knee, hip, ankle and foot problems, post-surgical recovery, EDS and hypermobility, and more. See our Conditions and Services pages for detail.
